Job SummaryThe Nurse Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care and attention. This includes assigning staff, completing rounds, and identifying and reporting concerns and needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assign staff according to policies and ensure equal distribution of assigned duties
- Support teamwork and encourage staff to provide resident care properly and in an acceptable time frame
- Complete rounds to assess residents and resident care
- Identify and report concerns and needs to appropriate staff members in a professional and timely manner
- Manage staff and discipline staff members as necessary
- Assist employees in resolving unsatisfactory performance and behavior issues
- Ensure standards of patient care are utilized and delegate responsibilities as defined by policy
- Participate in the direct delivery of patient care and answer residents' call lights
- Ensure a safe, comfortable, and clean environment is maintained
- Complete monthly QAPI and daily nursing labor forms for Administration
- Current RN license in the state of employment
- Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred
- Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with residents, visitors, and staff
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage time, and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
