Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at CLOSE KNIT THERAPY LLC. In this role, you will provide exceptional therapeutic services to children in a supportive clinic environment. Your focus will be on enabling clients to perform daily activities with confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and address the various aspects of client performance to enhance their engagement in meaningful activities that promote health and well-being.
  • Choose and modify the appropriate occupational therapy treatment model and approach tailored to each individual’s needs.
  • Implement interventions aimed at improving safety and functionality in daily living tasks.
  • Educate clients on innovative strategies for task completion and assist them in breaking down activities into manageable steps.
  • Assess the client’s home and other relevant environments, providing recommendations for modifications that align with their abilities.
  • Advise on and train clients in the use of adaptive equipment.
  • Support and educate family members and caregivers to enhance the therapeutic process.
  • Monitor and document the progress towards both short-term and long-term therapeutic goals.
  • Collect and analyze data related to treatment effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including speech pathologists and behavioral technicians.
Essential Skills
  • Demonstrated experience as an occupational therapist.
  • In-depth understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer applications and creative media.
  • Familiarity with evaluation tools for activities of daily living.
  • Ability to effectively manage diverse patient personalities.
  • Current knowledge of treatment methodologies and a commitment to professional development.
  • Exemplary professional conduct.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid occupational therapy license.
