We are in search of a highly proficient security expert to enhance our Security Operations Center (SOC) team as a Senior Security Operations Specialist. This role is pivotal in proactively identifying and mitigating advanced threats and vulnerabilities within our digital infrastructure. Your expertise in security methodologies and incident management will be essential in detecting and analyzing suspicious activities, thereby fortifying our security framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of network traffic, system logs, and various security data sources to uncover potential indicators of compromise (IOCs) and advanced persistent threats (APTs).
  • Employ threat intelligence and advanced analytical techniques to pinpoint emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Document and escalate security incidents in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with junior analysts to provide expert guidance and support during incident response efforts.
  • Propose enhancements to security tools and processes to improve overall threat detection and prevention capabilities.
  • Remain informed about the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities through ongoing education and active participation in security communities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security operations, threat detection, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in incident response and investigation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security tools and technologies, including SIEM/SOAR platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions, and ticketing systems.
  • Strong grasp of network security principles, operating systems, and malware analysis techniques.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requirement for regular onsite presence with flexible remote work options.

Additional Considerations

Experience with security automation and scripting languages, as well as relevant security certifications, will be advantageous. Familiarity with cloud security environments is also a plus.
