Job Summary

Fervo Energy is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to lead the design, development, and construction of permanent and temporary surface facilities across our geothermal energy developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multidiscipline teams to support early phase project development, including geothermal facility engineers, reservoir engineers, drilling and completions engineers, operations, and project controllers.
  • Develop, deliver, commission, and execute temporary well testing activities for Project Cape Phase 1 & 2.
  • Own well pad facilities scope for temporary well testing activities and incorporate learnings into permanent facilities design.
  • Develop, deliver, commission, and execute makeup water well facilities and own connection to well pad facilities.
  • Utilize project management principles, knowledge, and experience to manage the full life cycle of surface facilities at Fervo's existing and proposed project sites.
Requirements
  • 4 to 8 years of facilities engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum).
  • Experience with facility construction management, pipeline and gathering facility design, utility interconnection processes and procedures.
  • Experience with key industry codes and standards, identification and evaluation of new technologies, and their incorporation into facility projects.
  • Proficiency working with project management and scheduling software, ability to lead engineering efforts, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Geothermal facilities and transmission interconnection experience.
  • Expertise with a wide range of renewable energy types.
  • Familiarity with subsurface science and drilling.
  • Advanced knowledge of Technical Standards (API, ASME, ISA84, IEEE etc.).
  • Trained in/experienced in process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Agile).
