We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at X4 Engineering in Houston. This role requires a professional with extensive technical knowledge, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate within a team.

Project Mechanical Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in industrial design and construction industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as the primary engineering interface with multiple clients
  • Proficiency in energy modeling using a IESVE or other current DOE-2 modelling software (ASHRAE 140 Compliant)
  • Knowledge in scope definition, design schedule management, coordination with other disciplines, design document creation, and quality reviews
  • Extensive experience in the energy/renewables space

Project Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Programming, schematic design, and development of construction documents as well as construction administration up to project close-out
  • Perform load calculations, systems design, cross-discipline coordination, and signing and sealing of contract documents
  • Conduct LCCA Analysis
  • Manage Construction Administration phase of a project including submittal review, RFI responses, and site visit proficiency
