Job Title: Resort Ambassador

The Bellperson Captain plays a key role in ensuring guests have an exceptional experience at Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach.

About the Role

  • This position involves assisting guests with luggage upon arrival and departure, providing attentive and courteous service during their stay.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Loading and unloading luggage carts to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  2. Organizing and delivering luggage for tour groups in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Escorting guests to their rooms and familiarizing them with hotel services and amenities.
  4. Inspecting guest rooms to ensure they are in order and supplies are adequate.
  5. Explaining features of the room, including operation of electronic devices and entertainment systems.
  6. Checking and storing luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags.
  7. Storing, tracking, and delivering packages as needed.
  8. Delivering messages to meeting rooms.
  9. Delivering flowers, laundry, packages and other amenities to guestrooms.
  10. Assisting with room changes and resolving any issues that may arise.
  11. Maintaining up-to-date lists of local attractions, special events and activities.
  12. Providing information, maps and directions as required.
  13. Answering console calls to assist front desk agents when necessary.
  14. Showcasing guestrooms and suites, emphasizing the hotel's amenities and services.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with prior experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state (if applicable).
  • The ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • The ability to stand during entire shifts.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $14.25 per hour, plus tips. We offer a competitive compensation package, along with opportunities for growth and development within our organization.
