We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at Blain's Farm & Fleet. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and efficient completion of automotive services, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Assist customers with their purchases in a customer service and sales-focused environment, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
- Service Operations: Utilize computers to determine product inventory levels and product arrival dates, set up work orders for customers, schedule service work, and communicate with the service department.
- Communication: Explain work orders and invoices to customers, ensuring they understand the services performed and the associated costs.
- Retail Cashier Duties: Obtain and process customer payments, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Technical Skills: Install batteries, balance wheels, repair and install tires when required, and perform oil changes using LOF procedures.
- Loss Prevention and Safety: Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Vehicle Inspection and Recommendations: Interpret vehicle inspection results and make appropriate service recommendations to customers.
- Communication Skills: Possess great communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and coworkers.
- Education and Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older, with prior auto repair experience preferred. Prior retail experience is also preferred.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and speak English fluently.
- Background Checks: Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
