Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the University of Virginia Health System. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living to promote optimal recovery and comfort.
  • Perform basic nursing skills and procedures as delegated by a registered nurse to support patient health and wellness.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Provide administrative support to the healthcare team as needed.
  • Maintain necessary skills and competencies to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • No experience required, but relevant experience preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands

The Certified Nursing Assistant position requires frequent bending, stooping, and driving. The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 100 pounds is also required. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
