Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant

At the University of Virginia, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Nurse Assistant to work in our inpatient or outpatient setting. As a member of our team, you will assist patients with personal care, perform basic nursing skills, and provide a safe environment for patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living
  • Perform basic nursing skills as delegated by a Registered Nurse
  • Provide a safe environment for patient care
  • Perform administrative support functions
  • Maintain necessary skills and competencies
Requirements:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • No experience required
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS Certification required
  • Certified to practice as a Nurse Aide in the Commonwealth of Virginia or meet one of the following criteria:
    • Successful completion of the UVa PCT Education Program
    • Documented proof of at least 1 year of recent experience in a similar PCT role from an outside institution
    • Passage of a nationally recognized and accredited PCT Certification exam
Physical Demands:

The job requires frequent bending/stooping and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs and > 100lbs.
