Job Title: Vice President, Corporate Finance

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as Vice President, Corporate Finance. This role will lead the Corporate Finance Department in providing timely and accurate financial information to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals in providing financial analysis, planning, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement financial plans and budgets.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to operating departments and financial operations managers.
Requirements:
  • At least ten (10) years of experience providing overall financial leadership in a progressive organization.
  • Healthcare provider or tax-exempt accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with the issuance and management of tax-exempt bonds is preferred.
  • Academic healthcare experience with significant research and teaching programs is preferred.
  • Experience with an organization involved in significant fundraising activities, donor restricted funds (temporarily restricted, permanently restricted) and quasi-endowments is preferred.
  • Public accounting experience is preferred.
Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field is required.
  • A master's degree in business administration is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and financial management for large, complex organizations.
  • Technical competence in generally accepted accounting principles, payroll taxes, income taxes, and third-party reimbursement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local compliance requirements for tax-exempt and healthcare provider organizations.
  • Experience in tax-exempt variable and fixed rate debt, including debt covenants, interest rate swaps, stand-by purchase agreements, and remarketing agreements.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills as well as aptitude for conflict resolution, problem-solving, strategic planning, and evaluation, financial analysis, and staff development.
