Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Benefits Specialist to join our team at Everstand. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills in benefits administration and compensation planning.

About the Role:

  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, disability insurance, and wellness initiatives.
  • Act as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits and compensation issues, while addressing employee questions and concerns.
  • Coordinate annual benefits enrollment and assist employees with enrollment, claims, and changes.
  • Collaborate with brokers, vendors, and third-party administrators to manage and evaluate benefit plans and address plan-related issues.
  • Administer and evaluate compensation programs to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Support the development of job descriptions and salary grades while guiding pay structures, bonuses, and incentive programs.
  • Assist with drafting and updating benefits and compensation policies to align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs that educate employees and managers about benefits offerings and compensation strategies.
About the Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $73,000 - $90,000 per year, based on national averages for similar positions in the Baltimore area.

  • We have a team of approximately 800 employees across DC, MD, PA, and WV who work together to empower youth and their families to flourish within their community.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in human resources generalist roles, with 2 years involving compensation and benefit management. Preferred certifications include Certified Benefits Professionals (CBP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), PHR, and/or SHRM-CP.
