About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at RTX, where you will be responsible for designing and developing complex harness and interconnect systems for aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle, including proposal, design, prototyping, manufacturing, integration, and test of various types of harness and interconnects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and derive system requirements, define mechanical outline and construction details, and oversee electrical layout and first-order electrical analysis.
  • Meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for finished products, and ensure compliance with industry specifications such as IPC/WHMA-A-620 and SAE AS22759.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including mechanical and assembly drawings, and technical data packages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in the design and/or manufacturing of wire harnesses for military, aerospace, or commercial applications.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
  • Strong technical background with high technical aptitude, and experience with Creo Parametric modeling tool and drawing standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
