Job Overview
The Pathway Advisor role is integral to the success of students within the educational framework. This position is dedicated to supporting students as they navigate their academic journeys.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on student engagement by identifying, recruiting, and advising students and their families in both individual and group settings.
- Conduct regular visits to assigned educational institutions to monitor student progress through consistent meetings with students and key stakeholders.
- Provide timely and accurate information to relevant school personnel, including teachers and counselors, regarding participating students.
- Organize and lead educational summer programs aimed at enhancing student experiences.
- Assist in the development of Project Based Learning (PBL) initiatives to introduce students to the healthcare sector.
- Engage in additional responsibilities as required by the program's needs.
- Possess a solid understanding of local educational requirements, including those for Tennessee College of Applied Technology and community colleges.
- Be knowledgeable about high school graduation prerequisites.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills, working effectively with diverse groups.
- Collaborate across various disciplines and skill levels.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as advising, counseling, or human relations is required. Experience in career counseling at primary, secondary, or post-secondary levels is preferred. Candidates should be willing to obtain the Tennessee Industry 4.0 Diploma Distinction career coach credential upon employment.
