The City of Monticello, MN is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Reserve Firefighters. As a Reserve Firefighter, you will play a critical role in protecting the lives and property of our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, providing effective rescue and firefighting work.
  • Perform fire prevention and education activities to promote public safety.
  • Conduct equipment and facility maintenance, as well as housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in training and drills to maintain and improve firefighting skills.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Monticello or the surrounding area.
  • Hold a valid Minnesota Driver's license.
  • Be available to respond to calls and participate in training and drills.

  • Paid on-call fire personnel are eligible for paid sick and safe leave.
