Paramedic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team at Lifeguard Ambulance Service. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient situations and determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize medical equipment and procedures to provide advanced medical care, including defibrillator, ECG monitor, oxygen, and suction devices.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones to provide information and assurance.
  • Act as a team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses and work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • State Paramedic License.
  • State Driver's License.
  • BLS, ACLS.
  • Driving record in compliance with company policy.
  • Pass Physical Ability Test (PAT).
  • Some work experience, preferably in healthcare, is preferred.
