Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Educator and Professional Development Specialist to join our team at Medstar. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development of our nursing staff and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing staff, with a focus on evidence-based practice and clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with nursing leaders and other stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop targeted educational initiatives.
  • Design and deliver educational programs, including workshops, webinars, and online courses, to meet the diverse learning needs of nursing staff.
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to ensure that educational programs are effective and meet the needs of nursing staff.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to nursing staff to support their professional development and career advancement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nursing education and professional development, and apply this knowledge to inform educational programs and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Clinical Nursing, Nursing Education, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of progressive clinical nursing experience, with a focus on education and professional development.
  • Valid RN license in the State of Maryland.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with nursing staff, leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in educational technology platforms.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $87,318 - $149,094, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
