Position Overview:
As a Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing, advising, managing, and retaining client relationships. Your focus will be on generating new business opportunities while ensuring the profitability of existing relationships. This role is centered around sales and providing tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in business development for both current and prospective commercial clients.
- Build internal partnerships to deliver comprehensive financial solutions across various banking sectors.
- Advise clients on financial strategies and solutions.
- Oversee and evaluate client relationships to ensure satisfaction and growth.
- Communicate the bank's value proposition effectively.
- Stay informed about industry trends and banking practices.
- Utilize knowledge of other banking services to provide qualified referrals.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of commercial banking solutions and engage in community activities for business development.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Adhere to internal controls and compliance regulations relevant to your role.
- Maintain knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable regulations.
- May mentor or train others as a subject matter expert.
Candidate Profile:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in commercial banking or a related field.
- Proven ability to cross-sell a variety of banking products.
- Strong skills in building and maintaining client relationships.
- Experience managing complex client interactions.
- Demonstrated business development and sales capabilities.
- Ability to manage an existing portfolio effectively.
- Consultative selling approach with strong credit knowledge.
- Familiarity with personal and business financial statements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide innovative client solutions.
