Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for complex mechanical engineering projects.
- Oversee the design, development, and validation of innovative electromechanical systems.
- Mentor a high-performing engineering team.
- Lead complex problem-solving efforts, identifying innovative solutions and overcoming technical challenges.
- Foster strong partnerships with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams.
- Assist in building program plans and schedules to meet project milestones.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and design concepts.
- Actively participate in prototyping, building, testing, and iterating on designs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), detailed drawings and specifications per ANSI Y14.5 standards.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 12 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven track record of bringing complex mechanical engineering projects from concept to commercialization.
- Deep expertise in electromechanical systems design, including component sizing, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and intermediate experience with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation or Ansys).
- Expertise in creating detailed dimensional drawings per ANSI Y14.5 standards using GD&T.
- Knowledge of robotics, automation, and related industry standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
