Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Installer to join our team at OmniOn Power. As a Telecommunications Installer, you will play a critical role in empowering smarter business operations by connecting equipment, software, and services to protect, control, and optimize assets within electrical infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on circuit modifications, power transition operations, addition, and removal of circuits on working power distribution sources
  • Perform power system equipment test and turn-up, oversee volatile work activities, and perform Site Supervisors responsibilities on a job site
  • Troubleshoot based on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, complete tasks, and solve key customer issues in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 100% and willingness to work different shifts (swing shifts)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove lb. batteries
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time
  • Continuous standing
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
  • Frequently crouching or squatting
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Prior field engineering experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Electrical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship
  • AC Electrical experience
