Rush University System for Health is seeking a qualified individual for the role of Section Chief of Critical Care within the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. The responsibilities associated with this position include:
  • Providing strategic leadership to a robust team of 26 faculty members within the critical care program
  • Acting as the Chief Medical Officer for critical care across the institution
  • Managing multiple Intensive Care Units, including Medical ICU, Adult ICU, Neurosciences ICU, and Cardiosciences ICU
  • Instructing and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows in a clinical setting
  • Engaging in clinical research initiatives and mentorship programs
The Section Chief will be instrumental in the development of the RUSH Lung Center and will work collaboratively with fellow faculty to enhance the clinical research framework. This position offers a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and an academic appointment commensurate with experience.
