Rush University System for Health is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Section Chief of Critical Care. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced physician to join our team and lead our critical care program to new heights.

About the Role:

The Section Chief of Critical Care will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our critical care program, ensuring that it remains at the forefront of medical innovation and excellence. This will involve working closely with our Division Chief, faculty members, and other stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive plan for the program's growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative leadership and oversight to the critical care program, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and patient care.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the program's growth and development, including identifying new opportunities for research, education, and clinical innovation.
  • Collaborate with our Division Chief and faculty members to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care and research.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior faculty members and residents, helping them to develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Work closely with our research team to identify new opportunities for clinical research and to develop and implement research protocols.
  • Represent the critical care program at national and international conferences, promoting our work and building relationships with other leading institutions.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a critical care setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Strong research and academic background, with a track record of publications and presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, building strong relationships and partnerships.
