We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at AdventHealth for Children Orlando. As a Neonatal Pediatric Respiratory Therapist - Hybrid, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of an assigned group of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform airway maintenance, including manual resuscitators, suctioning, extubating, and tracheostomy tube insertion.
- Conduct respiratory therapies and oxygen delivery therapies, making recommendations for efficient delivery methods.
- Utilize patient assessment skills, protocols, and chart review to determine therapy efficacy, making recommendations and changes as needed.
- Initiate, maintain, transport, and monitor mechanical ventilators, including conventional and advanced modes of ventilation.
- Practice standard precautions and enforce safety regulations according to hospital policies.
- Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
- Active and Current Florida State License as Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Preferred).
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) (Preferred).
