Job Summary:

AdventHealth is seeking a Pediatric Transport Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing emergency care for acutely ill neonatal and pediatric patients in collaboration with the Medical team for the receiving neonatal or pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Practices in accordance with philosophy, policies, procedures and standards of AdventHealth for Children; functions within the guidelines of the protocols for the Transport program that are reviewed and agreed upon by the Neonatal and Pediatric Medical Director and Transport Manager.

• Identifies, plans, implements and evaluates emergency care for acutely ill neonatal and pediatric patients in collaboration with the Medical team for the receiving neonatal or pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

• Provides family-centered care, including psychosocial support, education, and transfer planning in conjunction with referral staff.

• Maintains effective communication with referral staff and families.

• Participates in educating staff from referring facilities through informal teaching and planned educational classes and/or conferences.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of pediatric critical care experience

• Current valid State of Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist

• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
