The American Heart Association is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations for Educational Programs.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be tasked with steering the successful execution of designated projects by leading teams through the phases of initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure. You will oversee Managers and Coordinators to ensure that the initiatives of the Professional Education Hub are completed punctually, within budget, and to the expected quality standards.

This position collaborates with the Senior Director of the Professional Education Hub & Telehealth, the healthcare business solutions team, and various departments within the Association to provide operational, financial, logistical, and administrative support for the program. You will address operational and project deliverables, including budget oversight, contracting, and reporting requirements. Additionally, you will manage day-to-day prioritization of internal service requests and support needs in alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Duties Include:

  • Conducting regular assessments of quantitative data and qualitative user feedback to refine product features and enhance user experience.
  • Gathering and analyzing insights from performance tracking to prioritize and implement product improvements, focusing on optimizing functionality and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with technology, design, marketing, and sales teams to execute comprehensive product roadmaps.
  • Facilitating customer testing sessions to gather actionable insights, ensuring products meet user expectations.
  • Maintaining and prioritizing the feature backlog to align team efforts with strategic business goals.
  • Coordinating with marketing, sales, communication, and support teams for effective product launches.
  • Supervising the performance of new products post-launch and gathering feedback from customers and internal teams.
  • Overseeing operations, including finance and procurement, while ensuring compliance with Association guidelines.
  • Leading and training Program Manager staff to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancement and developing frameworks for implementing new standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years in program management with operational oversight.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of staff.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • In-depth knowledge of budgeting and reporting processes.
  • Experience in risk assessment and management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.
  • Functional proficiency in project management tools and multi-program computer skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
