Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an experienced IT Enterprise Architect to join our team. As a key member of our IT organization, you will play a critical role in coordinating the implementation and integration of applications across our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, and implement solutions to resolve complex technical and business issues across multiple functions.
  • Review and consult on solutions to resolve complex technical and business issues.
  • Lead design, development, and implementation to integrate new solutions within the existing or newly defined architecture.
  • Work on multiple functions of high complexity.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for multiple technical solutions.
  • Serve as a primary technical liaison to end users for new requirements and issues related to applications.
  • Act as a general internal consultant on application architecture initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leadership on development of application standardization.
  • Responsible for providing/setting direction on application architecture.
  • Support standardization of documentation and the integration of standards and practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments and research related to application packages and healthcare IT trends.
  • Evaluate IT updates and revisions; coordinate testing of updates and revisions.
  • Oversee efforts with key vendors to understand future application product plans in conjunction with IT leadership.
  • Oversee complex configuration of applications based on user and vendor requirements on major application environments.
  • Work closely with managers, project managers, and business partner leaders to define and develop or implement major software applications.
  • Work with IT staff, business partners, and leadership to help them understand potential application functionality, development approaches, possible enhancements, and process improvements.
  • Provide advanced-level application technical support to resolve problems.
  • Work with IT staff to integrate processes with application systems.
  • Work with enterprise architecture teams to integrate application architecture into enterprise architecture.
  • Stay connected with industry best practices and vendor-specific application methodologies.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of application IT staff through education activities in support of the software application.
  • Work closely with committees as a liaison to aligning needs with application functionality.
  • Work with Application Analysts on planning for implementation of new application modules and enhancements.
  • Work with Application Analysts on planning for maintenance releases and problem resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a healthcare environment.
  • 7+ years of experience required.
  • 2 or more relevant technical/professional security certifications preferred.
  • Lab domain experience required.
