Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Volt is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and documenting complex robotic guided surgical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain robotic guided surgical systems at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to minimize system downtime.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers to ensure seamless daily activities.
  • Complete training as necessary for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) related tasks.
  • Adhere to all applicable Quality and Safety procedures.
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Maintain company working areas and local environment in accordance with general operating procedures.
  • Ensure all measuring instruments are within calibration limits.
  • Comply with all local, national, international, and company regulations, policies, and procedures for Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
Requirements:
  • Located in the Greater Boston or Greater New York/New Jersey area, or anywhere in the Northeast Territory with close proximity to an airport.
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with maintaining, testing, and documenting complex medical devices highly preferred.
  • Experience working with robotic guided surgical systems, preferred.
  • Ideal candidate has 2-4 years of field service experience, or recent college graduates with previous experience calibrating equipment, using hand tools, calipers, and digital multimeters.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support multiple accounts.
  • Excellent debugging skills.
  • Ability to explain complicated technical information in simple terms.
  • Comfortable interacting with medical professionals and engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and oral.
  • Experience with medical devices that include a significant software and electrical component.
  • Familiarity with CT scan images and DICOM protocol standards preferred.
  • Start-up experience.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to travel, with up to 75% travel required.
Benefits:

Volt offers a competitive salary range of $73,000 - $89,500 per year, based on education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Benefits will be provided by the employer.
