Substance Abuse Counselor

Columbia River Mental Health Services is a leading provider of behavioral health and recovery services in SW Washington. We are seeking a highly motivated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing support services to consumers involved in behavioral health treatment services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist consumers in determining the objectives the consumer needs to take in order to reach his or her recovery goals
- Lead as well as teach consumers how to facilitate Recovery Dialogues
- Support the vocational choices consumers make and assist them in overcoming job-related anxiety
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification specializing in WA State Peer Support
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $20.80 - $22.93/hr
- 12 paid holidays per year
- 3 paid floating holidays
