AS A SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEERING LEADER - NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, YOU WILL:
Provide strategic direction, critical analysis, and a high level of independent engineering expertise to global, cross-functional product development teams.
Enhance your skills in existing testing equipment and engineering tools to facilitate component-level testing and analysis, thereby accelerating product development.
Develop in-depth knowledge in areas that influence product performance, such as gas flow, component alignment, and wear characteristics, and apply engineering principles to drive improvements.
Support both internal and external clients as well as global colleagues by presenting technical data and updates on project milestones.
Collaborate with designers, advanced manufacturing engineers, and other technical specialists to navigate design challenges and ensure compliance with product specifications.
Formulate and execute development and testing strategies with a focus on risk management, while coordinating resources for timely project delivery.
Act as the technical authority, providing engineering insights on key new product development and customer support initiatives.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, along with five years of relevant industry experience.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply Model Based Digital Engineering (MBDE) tools to resolve technical challenges and inform design decisions.
Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to create program schedules and facilitate team decision-making.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as required. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.
A Master's Degree in Engineering and prior experience in HVAC/R, as well as experience with high-speed rotating equipment, are preferred.
Deep expertise in one or more of the following areas is advantageous: applied physics, machine design, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, fatigue/fracture mechanics, and bearing design.
This position offers a flexible work schedule, including a remote work option for up to two days a week, with core hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
