Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Amcor Flexibles North America, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, directing, and coordinating projects that involve both mechanical and electrical components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a safety leader and demonstrate safety leadership by complying with all safety rules, policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Support all written safety programs and safety training.
  • Determine customer needs by identifying problems and safety concerns.
  • Develop and evaluate alternate solutions to narrow down and define project scope.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and/or assemble the engineering package/project documentation for each assigned project.
  • Provide purchasing services for project materials required.
  • Coordinate project costs, project scheduling, and supplying pertinent communication for projects that may vary in terms of scope and responsibilities.
  • Interface with people, departments, and/or companies to ensure that equipment is safe, made on schedule, and to specification.
  • Provide engineering support and troubleshooting to the plant when machine breakdown issues cannot be solved by maintenance.
  • Actively participate on Continuous Improvement projects and lead teams as requested.
Requirements
  • Demonstrates growing knowledge of engineering standards and shows ability to apply concepts and theories to resolve increasingly complex issues.
  • Looks to external sources to keep up with current industry.
  • Begins acting as project or team leader with increasing ownership of projects.
  • Shows increased ability in performing cost analysis and managing project costs.
  • Examines information from internal/external sources.
  • Is not afraid to make decisions, seek clarification on conflicting data, and consult with colleagues.
  • Has an understanding of what information is relevant and tailors communication appropriately.
