Job Title: Authorization Specialist II

Team Select Home Care is seeking a highly skilled Authorization Specialist II to join our team. As an Authorization Specialist II, you will be responsible for performing authorization requests for all insurances, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits for all insurances.
  • Obtain and track authorizations for all locations, including re-authorizations throughout patient care.
  • Enter authorization information into the system and verify accuracy in payor setup in EMR for all active policies.
  • Run reports daily, weekly, and monthly for the department.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure authorizations are used properly.
  • Determine through eligibility and payer knowledge if TS can service a patient.
  • Audit and appeal denials by payer, including appeals through the health commission or applicable governing body.
Qualifications:
  • High school or GED diploma.
  • Two years experience in health-related authorization and eligibility.
