Job Title: Patient Services Liaison

At Premier Gastroenterology Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Liaison to join our team. As a key member of our outpatient clinic, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of our clinic.
  • Manage patient check-in and registration, including verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays/patient balances.
  • Accurately record patient data into our electronic health records (EHR) system.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff, addressing concerns and directing them to the appropriate personnel for further assistance.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and email inquiries professionally and promptly, efficiently routing messages to the relevant staff members when necessary.
  • Foster effective communication with medical personnel, surgeons, and nursing staff to ensure the seamless flow of patients through the clinic.
  • Uphold patient privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive medical and personal information.
  • Continuously strive to improve the patient experience at the clinic by actively seeking feedback, addressing concerns, and implementing positive changes in collaboration with the clinic leadership.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of patient medical records, ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Handle patient concerns or complaints professionally and efficiently, taking appropriate actions or escalating issues to the relevant personnel when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional post-secondary education or relevant certification is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in customer service or administrative roles, ideally within a medical setting or healthcare facility.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, scheduling software, and basic computer applications.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance procedures, and healthcare regulations is beneficial.
  • Empathetic and patient-oriented attitude, maintaining composure in stressful situations.
Working Conditions:

The Patient Services Liaison typically works in an outpatient medical practice, interacting with patients, visitors, and medical staff. The position may require occasional standing, walking, and lifting of light objects. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
