GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Nutrition Services Technician is responsible for the effective daily functioning of the cafeteria operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare meals in the designated work area with attention to quality and safety.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workspaces during food preparation and after serving.
  • Wash dishes and utensils both during and after meal service.
  • Ensure the kitchen area is swept and mopped regularly.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Keep storage areas, including walk-in freezers and refrigerators, organized and sanitary.
  • Document the usage of food commodities accurately.
  • Notify the manager or director regarding necessary supplies and food items.
  • Care for and clean all kitchen equipment diligently.
  • Serve meals in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Conduct daily cleaning of the dining area.
  • Perform weekly inventory checks of food and supplies.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the administration.
