Job Title: Maintenance Technician

STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in High Ridge, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, including CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and environmental test chambers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and test equipment, including shock and vibration devices.
  • Provide routine technical support to engineers and scientists on standard components, devices, materials, products, processes, and equipment.
  • Repair and rebuild water and vacuum pumps, maintain environmental test chambers, water towers, heat exchangers, and air conditioning systems.
  • Work from standard wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches to build, modify, rework, and repair electronic, optical, or mechanical assemblies.
  • Design and test prototype assemblies and production units; perform related manufacturing processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements per State and Federal regulations; follow SOPs and safety rules.
  • Interface with other departments to ensure efficient flow of information and materials; interpret and possibly develop wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansions.
Qualifications:
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Experience handling small, delicate components using ESD practices.
  • Soldering and wire bonding experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the safe handling of chemicals.
  • Proficiency in various computer applications, including Access, Excel, and LabView.
  • Experience with MRP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
