We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Living Fitness Specialist to join our team at 2Life Communities. As a Senior Living Fitness Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fitness programs for our residents, promoting healthy aging and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Design and implement fitness programs for residents, including exercise classes, health and wellness initiatives, and expressive therapy programs.
- Program Delivery: Lead and facilitate daily exercise classes, teach specialized arthritis and balance classes, and evaluate residents for safe use of gym equipment.
- Program Evaluation: Assess resident competency, track progress, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Work with campus staff to develop resident-centric programs, participate in continuing education, and collaborate with healthcare providers to support residents' overall health and well-being.
- Training and Supervision: Train and supervise interns and volunteers assisting with the Fitness & Wellness Program.
- Education: Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Health & Fitness required.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to work well with older adults, including those with cognitive or physical impairments, ability to listen and establish trust, and computer literacy.
- Transportation: Sufficient transportation to travel as needed between all 2Life locations.
- Competitive Salary: 27% of base pay added to benefits package.
