Work Schedule: Full-time, with options for 2nd shift (2 PM - 10 PM) and 3rd shift (10 PM - 6 AM), including weekends as required.
Compensation: $17.15 per hour
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Bilingual Youth Care Worker plays a crucial role in delivering direct care and oversight for unaccompanied minors and adolescents. Services are primarily directed towards children aged 0-17, residing in a 24-hour shelter environment.
The Youth Care Worker is tasked with facilitating a range of services for the youth, which includes:
- Conducting program orientation
- Ensuring safe transportation
- Providing intake services
- Assisting in vocational, recreational, and structured leisure activities
- A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory, along with a minimum of 1 year of experience in the child welfare sector, specifically working with children and/or adolescents.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience working with youth.
- Experience in a shelter setting is advantageous.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bilingual proficiency in conversational Spanish is required; fluency in Spanish is preferred.
