Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Quest Diagnostics. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using proper aseptic techniques
  • Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) on patients
  • Prepare and process blood samples for laboratory testing
  • Maintain accurate records of patient samples and test results
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic knowledge of arrhythmias and completion of a blood drawing educational program
  • 1 year of prior experience in ECG or graduate of ECG technical/Medical Assistant training program
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
Working Conditions

The Phlebotomy Technician will work in a hospital setting, interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members. The position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 4 hours a day.
