Emergency RN Quality Specialist

Job Summary:
The Emergency Quality Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and evaluating education/training programs and services in the Emergency Department. This role requires developing related goals and objectives, recommending policies, and evaluating program outcomes. The specialist should primarily base educational offerings on Cognitive, Humanist, and/or Brain-Based Learning Theories.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement education/training programs and services in the Emergency Department
• Create and manage related goals and objectives
• Recommend policies and procedures for education/training programs
• Evaluate program outcomes and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other stakeholders to develop and implement education/training programs
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Master's Degree in Nursing preferred
• 5 years of Emergency Department experience
• High volume Emergency experience preferred
• Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) through ANCC or CNE certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Instructor Status in BLS, ACLS or PALS
