Job Title: Emergency Quality Specialist

Grady Health System is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Quality Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

The Emergency Quality Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and evaluating education/training programs and services in the Emergency Department. This role requires a strong understanding of cognitive, humanist, and brain-based learning theories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement education/training programs and services to improve patient outcomes and staff performance.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide consultation and coaching to staff on quality and safety best practices.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Masters' Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 5 years of Emergency Department experience.
  • High volume Emergency experience preferred.
  • Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Nursing Professional Development Certification (NPD-BC) through ANCC or CNE certification.
  • TNCC.
  • Instructor Status in BLS, ACLS or PALS preferred.
