Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Specialist to join our team at AdaptHealth LLC. As a PAP Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the best possible care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and timely data entry into key databases
  • Understanding and selecting inventory and services
  • Communicating with referral sources and utilizing technology to notate patient information
  • Scheduling appointments for customers to pick up equipment and receive proper instruction
  • Explaining financial responsibility and ensuring payment
  • Preparing and submitting audit paperwork for Medicare and other insurance claims
  • Responding to claim audits and communicating results to provide education and process changes
  • Monitoring, communicating, and managing clients on Positive Airway Pressure devices
  • Encouraging client compliance with PAP equipment and program
  • Developing and maintaining working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all applicable insurance guidelines

Requirements:

  • One (1) year work-related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center, or management
  • Senior level requires two (2) years of work-related experience and one (1) year of exact job experience
