Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize sound engineering principles and CAD methodologies in all design tasks.
- Manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Create precise SolidWorks CAD models and engineering documentation.
- Develop innovative mechanisms and manufacturing solutions that are both simple and effective.
- Prepare production-ready documentation and leverage Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Engage in cross-functional teamwork with internal marketing and overseas production engineering teams.
- Oversee project management tasks, providing updates and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- A proactive individual with a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Minimum of an Associate degree in mechanical design, engineering, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in designing high-volume production components and assemblies.
- Ability to analyze data and develop straightforward solutions to complex challenges.
- Proficient in SolidWorks, with certification as a SolidWorks Professional or higher preferred.
- Understanding of various materials and manufacturing processes, including metal fabrication, welding, and injection molding.
- Experience in generating production release documentation and utilizing product data management software.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in consumer products, particularly in the juvenile industry, is advantageous.
