Job Title: Shift Leader

At Burritos Alinstante, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage administrative functions, including paperwork and delivery checks.
  • Ensure staff compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Run a smooth and well-organized shift, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed.
  • Encourage a pleasant customer experience by monitoring team member interactions.
  • Ensure all Open/Close duties are completed, including equipment checks and inventory management.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the movement of restaurant products, including ordering and inventory management.
  • Monitor restaurant inventory, stocking necessary items and ensuring food is stored at the proper temperature.
  • Pitch in as needed to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant.
  • Help to clean restaurant areas, including the parking lot and restrooms.
Supervisory/Budgetary Responsibilities:
  • Supervise shift team members, monitor daily assignments, and manage team member discipline.
  • Monitor monetary transactions, including credit card and gift card transactions.
  • Ensure company property, such as store keys and safe combinations, are kept confidential.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Light-to-moderate cleaning duties in parking lot and restroom areas.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds, including trash bags.
  • Reaching, bending, or kneeling, including pulling weeds and stocking shelves.
Work Environment/Conditions:
  • Restaurant environment, including food preparation and incoming/outgoing customers.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 months previous supervisory experience.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred, but not required.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred, but not required.

  • Responsiveness, professionalism, and efficiency in interactions with customers, team members, and vendors.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to juggle multiple priorities and demands in high-volume situations.
  • Consistently display a positive, honest, dedicated, and caring demeanor.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, and counting.
Training Requirements:
  • On-the-job training from Team Leaders and others.
  • Training will last for a minimum of two weeks, but may last longer.
  • Training will consist of learning how to use the loyalty program, issue receipts and refunds, and answer customer questions.
