We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Operations Supervisor to join our team at Baptist Health Care. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the daily activities of the unit on an assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Direct and manage the daily activities of the unit, ensuring efficient flow of patient care activities and effective use of resources.
  • Clinical Expertise: Provide clinical guidance and support to team members, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Manage staffing levels, ensuring adequate coverage for patient care and operational needs.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in nursing or technical diploma/certificate in nursing required; Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a surgical services area required.
  • Licensure: Registered nurse licensed in the State of Florida or eligible compact state license required.
  • Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association required.
