Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in achieving our mission: "To deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers." This position encompasses a range of sales, merchandising, and operational responsibilities as directed by management. The Supervisor collaborates closely with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to drive sales, recruit talent, and provide effective leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Engagement

  • Welcome customers with a warm and inviting demeanor, ensuring legendary service is consistently provided.
  • Address inquiries about the store and its offerings.
  • Assist customers in selecting and locating merchandise that meets their needs.
  • Proactively suggest additional items to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Utilize product knowledge to demonstrate merchandise effectively, sharing insights with the team.
  • Stay informed about current promotions, payment policies, and security measures.
  • Maintain personal sales metrics while supporting team performance through guidance.
  • Deliver outstanding service across key areas: sales floor, fitting rooms, and checkout.
  • Understand and manage return and exchange procedures, turning them into opportunities for engagement.
  • Utilize the Sales Presentation Guide to meet sales objectives.
  • Foster strong customer relationships to build a loyal client base.
  • Exemplify high standards of service and leadership, regardless of management presence.

Team Development and Training

  • Identify recruitment opportunities and engage in talent acquisition efforts.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members to uphold company standards.
  • Maintain a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
  • Model appropriate dress and grooming standards to inspire the team.
  • Engage in daily training and performance tracking to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Encourage team members to complete daily responsibilities efficiently.

Visual Merchandising

  • Oversee product presentation and organization within designated zones.
  • Ensure adherence to visual standards and merchandising guidelines.
  • Identify and communicate merchandising opportunities to management.
  • Conduct informative store tours to enhance customer experience.

Operational Excellence

  • Adapt to a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Implement opening and closing procedures effectively.
  • Monitor for security risks and implement loss prevention strategies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Leadership and Supervision

  • Provide constructive feedback to peers and management.
  • Support the leadership team in achieving store goals.
  • Foster a professional and respectful relationship with all team members.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant retail experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required to use hands and reach with arms.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a retail setting with moderate noise levels.
