About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead to join our team at Analytic Recruiting Inc. as a key member of our Data Governance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance frameworks, programs, and principles enterprise-wide, utilizing industry best practices.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading company in the field of data governance, and to contribute to the development of our data governance strategy. The Data Governance Lead will work closely with data owners, data delivery teams, and business stakeholders to define data quality requirements, conduct data quality assessments, and ensure that data is accurate, complete, and consistent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Data Governance Frameworks: Design and implement data governance frameworks, programs, and principles that align with industry best practices and meet the needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners and Business Stakeholders: Work closely with data owners, data delivery teams, and business stakeholders to define data quality requirements, conduct data quality assessments, and ensure that data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
  • Manage Data Catalog Design and Implementation: Design and implement a data catalog that reflects both short-term and long-term goals, and ensures that data is well-organized and easily accessible.
  • Support Enterprise Metadata Management: Support the development and implementation of enterprise metadata management practices, and ensure that metadata is accurate, complete, and consistent.
  • Collaborate with Business Units and Technical Owners: Collaborate with business units and technical owners to drive business process and workflow improvements, and ensure that data is used effectively to support business decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Relevant Field: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, information systems, or information processing.
  • 6+ Years of Experience in Data Governance: 6+ years of experience developing and implementing data governance policies and processes, with a strong understanding of industry best practices.
  • Strong SQL Skills: Strong SQL skills, with experience designing and developing standard database objects, tables, stored procedures, views, functions, and indexes.
  • Experience with Data Modeling Tools: Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, and a strong understanding of database design principles.
  • Experience with Leading Vendor Tools: Experience with leading vendor tools to support data governance activities, such as Informatica and Collibra.
  • Ability to Rapidly Comprehend Changes: Ability to rapidly comprehend changes to key business processes and the impact on overall data governance framework.
  • Knowledge of Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory Issues: Knowledge of legal, compliance, and regulatory issues impacting data, and the ability to ensure that data governance practices align with these requirements.
