Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Ultrasound Tech Perinatal to join our team. As a key member of our ultrasound department, you'll be responsible for providing specialized expertise in fetal and gynecological ultrasound imaging. Your expertise will help us ensure that all patients receive high-quality, efficient care.

Responsibilities

  • Apply fetal ultrasound principles in the evaluation of fetal anomalies
  • Apply gynecological ultrasound principles in the evaluation of patients
  • Adapt to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography
  • Identify fetal anomalies, such as CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen, abdomen wall, genitourinary, extremity placental, umbilical cord growth disturbance
  • Perform ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix, and ovaries
  • Perform complicated twin and triplet scans in conjunction with in-office multiple gestation service
  • Identify gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium, and polyps
  • Makes preliminary, equivocal diagnosis of gynecological and fetal disorders in the organ systems mentioned above
  • Operate General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency
  • Continues to expand knowledge of latest technology
  • Maintain ultrasound logging records including past medical history, past surgical history, past obstetric history, and past genetic history
  • Prepare patients for procedures including and not limited to Level I &II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, lung maturity amniocentesis, PUBS, amino reduction, external cephalic version, and GYN ultrasound
  • Maintain professional relationship with other staff members, other obstetric offices, and hospital personnel
  • Exercise independent judgment when interpreting Biophysical Profiles designed to assess fetal well-being
  • Alert physicians of potentially dangerous conditions. Diagnose fetal weight disturbances based on fetal biometry
  • Diagnose multiple fetal anomalies and report and demonstrate them to physician
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Ultrasound required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • RDMS required
  • RDMS – OB/GYN preferred
