Ultrasound Tech Perinatal Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Tech Perinatal to join our team at MSO Maternal &Fetal Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Apply fetal ultrasound principles to evaluate fetal anomalies and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Utilize gynecological ultrasound principles to evaluate patients and identify potential issues.
  • Adapt to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high standards of sonography.
  • Identify fetal and gynecological anomalies, including CNS, maxillofacial, cardiothoracic, abdomen, and genitourinary issues.
  • Perform ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix, and ovaries, as well as complicated twin and triplet scans.
  • Operate General Electric, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of the latest technology and maintain ultrasound logging records.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including Level I &II ultrasounds, amniocentesis, and GYN ultrasounds.
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff members, obstetric offices, and hospital personnel.
  • Exercise independent judgment when interpreting Biophysical Profiles and alert physicians to potentially dangerous conditions.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Ultrasound required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • RDMS required.
  • RDMS – OB/GYN preferred.
