Overview

Flagstaff Medical Center is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our Diagnostic Imaging department.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history and educate patients/families regarding procedures and/or treatment to be performed.
  • Position patients appropriately for radiographic procedures and perform radiographic procedures according to departmental guidelines.
  • Develop and evaluate radiographic results for technical quality and apply learned methodologies with independent judgment.
  • Maintain infection prevention standards and prepare, clean, adjust, inspect, and maintain equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
Modality Specific
  • Perform radiographic procedures using stationary and mobile radiographic equipment and ensure proper image capture of skeletal structure requested for diagnosis and treatment purposes.
  • Process and develop exposed x-ray film and create x-ray CD copies for review and interpretation.
Quality
  • Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety and perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements.
  • Assure the efficient operation of workflow of the department and monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials.
Education
  • Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidenced-based practice and research.
  • Focus on personal development areas and engage in professional/collegial interactions with peers and students.
Qualifications
  • Associates of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology - Required
  • MRTBE, ARRT - Required upon date of hire
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.) - Required
