Job Summary

The Center for Orthopedic and Research Excellence is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiology procedures, including operating the X-ray equipment and the C-arm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine patient x-ray needs by reading requests or instructions from physicians.
  • Assist physicians or other Rad Techs in complex procedures.
  • Position patients, set up equipment, and adjust controls to obtain optimal views.
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
  • Collect and maintain patient records, including medical histories and technical factors.
  • Prepare and set up the x-ray room, ensuring sterile and non-sterile supplies are present and in working order.
  • Position x-ray equipment, adjust controls, and complete quality control activities.
  • Coordinate work with other Rad Techs when procedures require multiple personnel.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Radiology Technology and current ARRT certification.
  • C-arm experience highly preferred.
  • Current state and ARRT certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Two - four years of experience in special procedures in a hospital or clinic environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA rules and regulations related to Radiology and healthcare.
  • Knowledge of routine fluoroscopy and examinations of the head and extremities under physician supervision.
