Job Title: Lead OR Radiologic TechnologistJob Summary

The Lead OR Radiologic Technologist is a key member of the imaging team, responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures and providing leadership to the OR Radiologic staff. This role requires a strong understanding of radiologic technology and excellent communication skills to ensure optimal care and treatment for patients in an operative setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for surgical procedures by setting up the imaging modality in accordance with each OR procedure
  • Check patient laterality, upload all pertinent patient information, and ensure equipment is functioning as expected
  • Communicate with the OR team regarding special imaging needs
  • Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed
  • Demonstrate professional behavior/conduct in all interactions, fostering teamwork and efficient use of resources
  • Perform prescribed procedures in accordance with established department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Maintain infection prevention standards and understand aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout the procedure
  • Prepare, clean, adjust, inspect, and maintain equipment
  • Produce high-quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, archiving imaging data as needed or required
  • Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals
Qualifications
  • Associates of Applied Science or other related fields - Required
  • AZDHS Certified Radiologic Technologist - Required
  • BLS (American Heart Assoc.) - Required
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card application number - Required upon hire
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card - Required within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum 2-year experience as imaging technologist in an OR setting - Required
  • Experience in hospital Trauma 1 and Trauma 2 environment - Required
