Job Summary:

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our community's maintenance department. This role involves managing computerized inventories of maintenance supplies, assigning work orders to maintenance staff, and entering data into our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigns and manages work orders for routine and emergency maintenance tasks

• Manages computerized inventories of maintenance supplies, including stocking levels, usage rates, and costs

• Enters data into the CMMS for dispatch, timely completion, and quality control

• Requisitions tools, supplies, and equipment as needed

• Assists in processing invoices and enters purchasing and other financial data into the CMMS

Requirements:

• 1-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts, apply common sense understanding, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables

Work Environment:

The Maintenance Planner will work in a fast-paced environment, frequently walking and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. The role requires occasional standing, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 65 pounds with assistance. The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
